【正文】Abstract: If you have read the Red Sorghum written by MoYan, you will be fully impressed by the recurring life images. No matter the vast red sorghum, like free fish exploring the sea, or the stubborn and brute force black mule, they are all the symbol of wealth. And the weasel tangled my second grandma. All these leave us a deep impression and gave us a special aesthetic feeling. Now let me interpret the aesthetic image.

　　As the beginning of MoYan’s novel, “The northeast country of Gaomi was the place where was the most beautiful and ugly, the most detachment and secular, the cleanest and dirtiest, having most heroes and bastards and the hometown of drinking and love.” All these resources seem to come from red sorghum, full of vitality .Red sorghum to the aesthetic feature lies in its symbolic image. Hegel once referred to in the Aesthetic: “Symbol is generally directly perceptual witness a ready-made external things, It’s not directly to the external things itself, but implies a broader than common sense.” As the performance of meaning, sorghum gives readers an impact feeling. Any thing happened in red sorghum seems to be reasonable. Human nature is inherently belongs to nature.
　　This mule is a stubborn animal, never listen to Japanese army. It is a coward animal. It was too scared to pass the river when my great-grandpa riding it alone to kill the boss of robber. The black mule is one of the examples to show readers the contraction of human nature: In order to survive. But there was a very complex change in northeast country Gaomi between stubborn and obey. Uncle Luohan is the representative of the typical. The brave man was pilled off his skin by Japanese army, but he never give up. It’s a strong contrasting to the grovel Sunwu. From all facing the threat of the innovation, one is righteous while another is cowardly. “In the most strange and difficult problems of life, I affirm life. The highest level of life is sacrificing. I called it the spirit of sorghum wine. 
　　The weasel is a satyr in Red Sorghum. At that time my second grandma was peeing and it indicated the tragedy. “It is just sitting on the top of tomb, waving its hands to my second grandma.” This scene lives a terrible impression to my second grandma. As she facing with the crucial Japanese army, the evil weasel occurs to her again. In this novel, the author writes about beast of human nature. “I’m thinking. If it was not a Japanese soldier, will my second grandma get rid of raping? No! Any male beast will be crazy and forget any thing.” This kind of beast will become atrocities.
　　The examples have much connection with MoYan’s hometown. He said, “My hometown has both heroes and bustards. And as an author, I won’t only describe good things about the hometown. Even I hate my home town at first.” However, he still loved some thing of his hometown. “I can say I love this land. This land raised and supported us. It’s the origin of our lives. It drained everyone’s energy until they are exhausted. Sometimes it’s so generous that we had a bumper harvest. If I never complain about my hometown, it’s totally fake and ridiculous. The deeper you love it, the deeper you hate it.”
